Artist Note

This began with the plants and just a place to wipe my brush when I was working on another painting. Somehow the haphazard brushstrokes began to have a look of familiarity, and I wanted to see more of these beautiful plants. It wasn't enough for me to just see them though; I wanted something like a porch or patio to sit and watch them grow. The lady figure is symbolic of art itself and somehow with this piece, I am able to experience the art I create with art anthropomorphized and myself (the artist) in one moment.
